1            Introduction

The Aircraft Disinsection Information (ADI) database is designed to provide up-to-date information regarding Residual and Pre-embarkation Disinsection status of international aircraft arriving into Australia.

The following two options are available to airline operators to meet Australian and New Zealand cabin and hold disinsection requirements. Airlines must hold a DAFF or MPI Disinsection Compliance Agreement for either of these disinsection treatment methods:

·         Residual Disinsection

Residual disinsection occurs, when internal surfaces of an aircraft are sprayed at regular intervals, no greater than 8 weeks, with a residual insecticide.

·         Pre-Embarkation Disinsection

Pre-embarkation disinsection is the spraying of the aircraft at the last overseas port. The treatment lasts for the duration of the single flight sector.

Note: Cabin disinsection must be done in conjunction with hold disinsection in both options.

If an Aircraft arriving into Australia has not had their Residual or Pre-Embarkation treatment performed as per their Compliance Agreement, Airlines must use either pre-flight and top of descent or on arrival disinsection methods. The pre-flight and top descent method will involve cargo hold spraying, pre-flight and top-of-descent cabin spraying.

For more information see the DAFF/MPI Schedule of Aircraft Disinsection Procedures for Flights into Australia and New Zealand available on the DAFF website.

2            User Access/Status

There are three levels of user access within the system. These are:

System Administrator:

·          is currently only held by authorised DAFF National office staff.

·         has access to all data

·         able to create and edit information

·         add or delete users, airlines and/or aircraft data

Edit User: Used by authorised agencies and airline representatives.

·         has access and ability to edit data related to associated airlines

·         change passwords

View User: Used by DAFF Officers across the business.

·         able to view and print data pertaining to associated aircraft

·         edit individual passwords

3            Logging In

Go to:

·         Enter your ‘Username’

·         Enter your ‘Password’ (case sensitive)

·         Select the ‘Login’ button

Note: Passwords are case sensitive and must include a number. Remember to document your password if appropriate.

If a password is entered 3 times incorrectly, the system will lock the user out for 30 minutes from the last incorrect attempt. After 30 minutes has elapsed, ADI will again permit access using the correct password.

If you are accessing the site for the first time you will be prompted to change your password. You must always remember that passwords are case sensitive and must include a number.

On every page you navigate you will always see the DAFF and MPI links at the bottom of each screen.  These will take you to their respective websites. To go to either websites select the icon at the bottom of each page.

4            ADI Home

The home page is displayed to all users after logging in.   Five tabs are located at the top right hand corner of the page. Access to these will be determined by your ‘User Status’ – see point 2 for access levels.

5            Aircraft

This page is used to search for the validity of an aircraft’s ‘Disinsection Status’ and for airlines to update and/or add and delete their information.

5.1     Perform a Search

Place your cursor over the ‘Aircraft’ tab to see ‘Aircraft Search’ and click on this selection. You may now search by Airline or Call Sign/Registration.

Note: Airlines will only be able to search or see their own information.

Searching by Airline:

·         Click on the ‘Airline’ drop down tab to view all Airlines

·         Select the Airline you require

·          Select the ‘Search’ button

This will conduct a broad search on all aircrafts for that airline, or select the ‘(All Assigned Aircraft)’ to display all aircraft associated with the login.

Search by Call Sign/Registration for a specific aircraft:

·         In the ‘Callsign’ cell enter the Callsign or Registration - for e.g. P2PXC

·         Select the ‘Search’ button.

Information delivered will include aircraft type, registration number and residual/pre-embarkation expiry date.

·         If part of a callsign/registration is entered, e.g.: _ _ TAG or _ _ 05U, the search function will raise all registrations containing those letters or numbers, in that sequence.

5.2     Save Search Results

Once you have searched the data required you can now save this information for future use.

·         Using your mouse, highlight the text you wish to copy (on screen).

·         From the ‘Edit’ menu, select ‘Copy’.

·         Open a new document in your editor of choice e.g. Microsoft Word.

·         From the ‘Edit’ menu, select ‘Paste’

·         The copied text will be displayed in the new document.

·         ‘Save’ the document to the desired location.

5.3     Add an Aircraft

The ‘Add’ functionality is only accessible to system administrators and editing users. These users can also add details of any new aircraft which is on a residual or pre-embarkation disinsection Compliance Agreement with DAFF or MPI.

Note: Residual or Pre-embarkation details are recorded in separate sections and should only include current aircraft data. The comments field is used to record any additional details about the aircraft.

Search for the required airline by entering the airline’s name.

·         Select the ‘Add’ button.

·         Enter the:

·                 Callsign/registration aircraft type

Pre-embarkation CA Holders:

·                 Flight Number

·                 Airport where treated
